It all started when…

The School of Word Play and Wizardry was established in 1826 and we’ve been teaching magical beings how to become great witches and word wizards ever since.

Recently, our Headmistress, Alba Arthallow, has made a radical decision – to expand our School’s teaching to pupils beyond the (charm protected) walls of our School.

That’s why, in Liverpool, the Wirral and the North West, you’ll find non-magi (mortals who have not gained their Wizarding License) children taking lessons in potions, transmorphication and word enchantment. These Monday night classes are all part of our School of Word Play and Wizardry’s Travelling Roadshow.

Our permanent School is based in the Scottish Highlands, but our travelling classroom can be found at: Aigburth Parish Hall, Dundonald Road, Liverpool, L17 0AE.

The School of Word Play and Wizardry is not affiliated with the Harry Potter franchise, J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros
